The CR200J is a Chinese-built Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) in the Higher-Speed Rail (HrSR) category used throughout China on inter-city services. Its speed is above the lower speed units but not fast enough to be designated as High Speed. The CR200J consists of a power car paired with unpowered passenger cars. It is the least fast member of the Fuxing series of trains. The train was jointly designed and produced by six companies by the CRRC Corporation Limited (known as CRRC) the Chinese state-owned rolling stock manufacturer. The CR200J is nicknamed 'Green EMU' (or 'Hulk') by the Chinese media due to its green finish.
The CR200J uses state-of-the-art flat-screen glass panels to display the train information as well as the route speed and signal data from suitably equipped routes. It can be manually driven or set to use the on-board computers to drive the train from a standing start at your departure station to your destination.
The CR200J is designed for and interacts with the CTCS-2 (China Train Controlling System) speed and signalling system that is included in the Chengdu to Suining High Speed Route and the Southwest China High Speed Rail Network routes that are both available to purchase from Just Trains.
